All manuscripts should be in 12-point type, with one-inch margins, and sequentially numbered pages. Fiction and nonfiction should be double-spaced. Poetry should be single-spaced and include no more than four poems. On the top of the first page, please include your name, address, telephone number, and email address. An optional biographical note may be included with submissions, and will be asked for upon publication. Manuscripts should be saved as either doc or rtf.
For short stories and nonfiction our word limit is 6,500, and for flash fiction it is 1,000 words.

Literature of War: At Home and Abroad
We’re putting together a themed issue of Scintilla focused on the literature of war. Specifically, we are interested in fiction, poems, and essays from soldiers, their families, and those who’ve participated in or been affected by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.Submissions are open from December 17, 2013 until April 11, 2014.All short story and essay manuscripts should be in 12-point type, with one-inch margins, and sequentially numbered pages.
