About Us
Nepantla: A Journal Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color is currently accepting submissions for its third issue. Edited annually by Christopher Soto, in collaboration with The Lambda Literary Foundation, Nepantla seeks to nurture, celebrate, and preserve diversity within the queer poetry community. Our journal grabs the attention of thousands of readers each issue. All of the poets, artists, and editors affiliated with Nepantla self-identify as queer people of color. We would love to welcome you into our poetry family!
To Submit Your Work
Through this journal, we have helped raise the voices of some of contemporary America’s finest poets. We seek poetry that surprises us. Tell us about all the vast realities that our QPOC communities are experiencing today. We pay our poets a modest honorarium and do not charge a submission fee. Send us your bio and up to five pages of poetry, in a Word Document or PDF. Multiple submissions are okay. Original work only. Please, only consider submitting to Nepantla if you self-identify as a queer poet of color. We will be accepting submissions until August 1, 2016. CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT.
