I gotta admit, I have been a fan of Black Coffee since I first heard his remix of Hugh Masekela’s classic “Stimela”… Over the years, his career has exploded bringing him in a category of his own, as Africa’s best known house DJ and producer. Beyond his amazing talent for music, Coffee has always impressed me with his humility and how he has used his fame to inspire countless others to pursue their dream. To me, he’s not just a musician, but an exemplary role model to the youth of Africa and beyond.

Back in 2011, I had the honor to once share the decks with Coffee as he was touring in the US (big up to Oscar P & Kimozaki). Now, three years later, I am blessed to have joined the African King of House on stage once again, along with DJ Spoko and my Electrafrique partner in crime a.k.a. Underdog, for a live show (June 15, 2014) in New York courtesy of Okayafrica.
