Any undergraduate or emerging artist (who has not attended an MFA or creative writing Ph.D program) is eligible to submit work for Glass Mountain. We accept previously unpublished fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, art, and everything in between – surprise us!  Acceptable formats for each genre can be found in its category on our Submittable page.  We do accept simultaneous submissions, though we ask that you notify us ASAP if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Poetry & Prose Contest

The deadline for the third annual Poetry & Prose Contest for Emerging Writers is Friday, January 9, 2015. Submit your work now at glassmountain.submittable.com/submit!

$5 entry fee per submission.

20 pages of prose (12-point font, double-spaced) or 10 pages of poetry maximum. We are taking submissions nationally. Current or former students in any graduate program in creative writing are not eligible to submit – this is a contest for emerging writers.

Winners in each category will receive a $100 cash prize, publication in Glass Mountain, and free registration to the 2015 Boldface Conference.
