FILM FESTIVAL
The Langston Hughes African American Film Festival ™, now in its 11th year, is a major season program of Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute ™ in Seattle, Washington. This festival screens provocative films from independent Black filmmakers and films about the African American experience. The festival features panel discussions, readings, matinee screenings for middle/high school youth and audience ‘talk-backs’ with filmmakers, industry professionals and community leaders. The Film Festival runs a year-round Underground Railroad Film Series; a series designed to showcase the African American connection with other cultures.
