We are currently seeking submissions of poetry, referenced-poetry, creative non-fiction, short fiction and spoken word recordings. We are looking for work that is either political in nature, speculative, or dealing with contemporary issues; We are also looking for work which deals with the history of, or events leading up to, situations still relevant today.

Poetry
We don’t have any lower or upper limits on word count, or line count for poetry. All styles of form and structure are welcome. That being said anything which is overly long, or too avant-garde on the construction side of things without good reason, probably won’t be the sort of thing we want to publish. Please submit no more than five poems for consideration at one time.
Referenced-poetry
The same as above except where if you have a poem that asserts particular facts, or makes particular reference, you may wish to provide a citation. This is an idea we’re experimenting with; the hope is that the reader can further explore the ideas behind the poem after reading. We’re looking for work that is informative/ intellectual but also great poetry in and of itself.
Creative non-fiction
We want you to send us work of around 800 – 3,000 words. We want writing that tells either a true story or considers a topic routed in fact, with the strong sense of narrative and crafting of language usually reserved for fiction. Please send no more than three submissions at once.
Fiction
We’d like to see anything from flash fiction to short stories. No lower word limit but an upper limit of about 10,000 words. The limit is certainly not strict, and if you have anything prewritten exceeding the limit we’d still love to see it. You may submit as many pieces in this category as you’d like, but we’d prefer it if the total word count didn’t exceed 20,000.
Spoken word
The best way to submit spoken word is probably by linking us to SoundCloud, but if your work is on another site or you want to send us the recording as a file that is also fine. There are no set limits as to length or for number of works to be submitted at once in this category.
Feel free to submit in multiple categories at one time. We accept simultaneous submissions but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere as we only accept previously unpublished works. We do not lay claim to any of our authors’ intellectual property rights. We are unfortunately unable to pay you for any work we may publish.
You can expect to hear back from us within two weeks of submission. If accepted, your work will likely be published on the website on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
