New York City Emerging Writers Fellowship
Fellowships of $4,000 each, membership to the Center for Fiction in New York City, and unlimited access to the center’s Writers’ Studio is given annually to fiction writers living in New York City who have not yet published a book of fiction. Winners will also have the opportunity to meet with editors and agents who represent new writers. Students enrolled in a degree-granting program are ineligible. Submit a short story or a novel excerpt of up to 10,000 words, a résumé, and proof of New York City residency by January 31. There is no entry fee.
