It all began in 1995 when the father of Karoline “Leki “Kamosi decided to accomplish one of his dream: the building of a hospital in his natal village of Malambu – in the Kwango area(Bandundu province,CONGO).

He had an ambitious plan but unfortunately the foundations were barely layed when the works suddenly had to stop because of a new civil war forcing Leki’s father to flee the country.

Currently the building site still remains as it has been left more then a decade ago, despite the fact that the population has no access to healthcare. No matter what it takes Leki will fulfil her father’s dream in order to help the local population.

The hospital is located in the village of Malambu Nzadi near the Kwango river at 300 km of Kinshasa.
More than 30 villages (250 000 inhabitants) could take advantage of this hospital!

Via Nanda, the non-profit-making organization founded by Leki, and under the name “Bouwen aan leven” (“building life”)several initiatives will be taken in 2010 to help raise funds, 
hoping that the hospital will be operational towards the end of 2011.
