GIGANTIC SEQUINS SECOND ANNUAL CONTEST!

Judges: Jericho Brown (poetry) Lauren Grodstein (flash fiction).
Prizes for each winner: $50, Portrait of each winner drawn by Kari Reed, a WRITE LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER mug from The Rumpus, a book pack from MIEL books, a $50 giftcard via Out of Print Clothing, and a small press pack from Brazos Bookstore.
2nd Annual Contest Submission Information
Submit up to three poems per entry. Please put all three poems in the same attached file.
Submit up to three pieces of flash fiction (1000 words or less) per entry. We prefer if you put all three pieces in the same attached file.
Please do not put your name anywhere within the attached file/s containing your work. Any attached file that contains the contestant’s first and/or last name will not be considered.
Previously published work is not eligible.
Simultaneous submissions are permitted but must be withdrawn immediately from the contest if accepted elsewhere.
About the Judging Process: The Gigantic Sequins editors will select finalists from the contest entries’ strongest work. Jericho Brown will choose the winner. Winners and finalists will be announced in September 2013.
Further Info: All entries and payments must be received through the Gigantic Sequins Submittable website. Friends, family, and students (current and former) of the judges are not eligible; please do not submit if you know the judges personally. All contest entries will also be considered for publication in our 5.1 issue. There are separate categories for anyone submitting to our contest who wishes to receive a copy of the issue containing our winners. Regular contest submissions are $5.00, they are $12.00 with the winning issue.
