We are pleased to announce the opening of the first annual Otis Nebula Poetry Prize for a book-length volume of poetry. Donald Revell will select the winning entry, along with one runner up. The winning volume will be published in a 100-copy print run and as an ebook. The runner up will be published as an ebook. The winning author will receive a $250 cash prize along with 10 copies of her book and 10 copies of the ebook. The runner up will receive $50 and 10 copies of the ebook.
Entries will be accepted until the newly extended deadline of June 15, 2013. Submitted manuscripts should be between 40 and 100 typed pages and must accompany a $15 reading fee. Manuscripts may consist of individual poems that have been published, however the manuscript as a whole must be unpublished. Translations are not accepted. Winners will be announced on the website on October 1, 2013.

Donald Revell is the author of twelve books of poems, the most recent of which,Tantivy, was published by Alice James Books in 2012. He translated Jules Laforgue’s Last Verses (Omnidawn 2011), as well as four collections of poetry by Rimbaud and Apollinaire. He has also published two books of nonfiction prose, The Art of Attention (Graywolf 2007) and Invisible Green (Omnidawn 2005). Among other honors, Revell has won the Lenore Marshall Award, the Gertrude Stein Award, the Shestack Prize, a Pushcart Prize, and has twice won the PEN Center USA Award in Poetry. He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Ingram Merrill and Guggenheim Foundations. He has taught at the Universities of Tennessee, Missouri, Iowa, Alabama, Colorado, and Utah. Currently, he teaches at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He edited the Denver Quarterly from 1988–94 and has been a poetry editor of Colorado Review since 1996.
