The authors of the Top 10 stories will have an opportunity to feature on\u00a0www.pennyshorts.com<\/a>, a website which offers quality short stories for\u00a0sale.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n We promote and encourage quality writing from amateurs and professionals alike, so the competition is open to everyone aged 16 or over by the closing date, 7 February 2018<\/strong>, not only in the UK, but overseas as well. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The three winning stories will be published on the ChipLitFest website with author photos and biographies. There will also be the opportunity to feature on our sponsor’s website www.pennyshorts.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n Rachel Seiffert\u2019s first novel,\u00a0The Dark Room<\/em>, (2001) was shortlisted for the\u00a0Man Booker Prize, and made into the feature film\u00a0Lore<\/em>. She was named one of\u00a0Granta\u2019s Best of Young British Novelists in 2003<\/em>, and in 2011 received the\u00a0EM Forster Award\u00a0from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.\u00a0\u00a0Field Study<\/em>, her collection of short stories, received an award from\u00a0PEN International.
