We invite participants to discuss how attitudes about race influence and challenge the classroom environment in American universities. Questions to consider: How does the current post-racial discourse influence discussions of race in historical and contemporary contexts? What pedagogical strategies have been successful? What has not worked? In what ways do both students and instructors contextualize race within the classroom and in the larger university setting?<\/span><\/p>\n
