Only contest winners will win prize\u00a0money, but we hope to publish some outstanding honorable mentions alongside our prize winners\u00a0in Phoebe 44.2. We look forward to reading your work. She is the author of the novel\u00a0No One is Here Except All of Us, published by<a href=\"http:\/\/www.riverheadbooks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">Riverhead Books<\/a>\u00a0in 2012, and a collection of short stories\u00a0A Guide to Being Born (2013).\u00a0 Winner of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.penusa.org\/literary-award-winners\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">PEN Center USA Literary Award for Fiction\u00a0<\/a>and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.vcu.edu\/firstnovelist\/2013\/06\/28\/announcing-the-winner-of-the-2013-vcu-cabell-first-novelist-award\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">VCU Cabell First Novelist Award,<\/a>\u00a0she has also been a finalist for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypl.org\/help\/about-nypl\/awards\/young-lions-fiction-award\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award<\/a>, and long-listed for the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.frankoconnor-shortstory-award.net\/site\/?page_id=35\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">Frank O\u2019Connor International Story Award\u00a0<\/a>and the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.impacdublinaward.ie\/nominees\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">\u00a0International Impac Dublin Literary Award<\/a>.\u00a0 She holds an MFA from the University of California, Irvine where she won the Glenn Schaeffer Award in Fiction and served as editor of Faultline Journal of Art &amp; Literature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Her work has appeared in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/online\/blogs\/books\/2011\/03\/ramona-ausubel-on-atria.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">The New Yorker<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.one-story.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">One Story<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/recommendedreading.tumblr.com\/post\/41860955461\/tributaries-by-ramona-ausubel\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">Electric Literature<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fivechapters.com\/2013\/ausubel-ramona\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"\">FiveChapters<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/greenmountainsreview.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">Green Mountains Review<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.slicemagazine.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">Slice<\/a>\u00a0and elsewhere and collected in The Best American Fantasy and online in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/blog\/category\/acknowledgements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">The Paris Review<\/a>.\u00a0 Her work was included in a list of \u201c100 Other Distinguished Stories of 2008\u2033 in the Best American Short Stories and thrice as a \u201cNotable\u201d story in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hmhbooks.com\/bestamerican\/nonrequiredreading\/bookdetails.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">Best American Non-Required Reading<\/a>.\u00a0 She has been a finalist for the Puschart Prize and a Fellow at the Bread Loaf Writers\u2019 Conference and the Sewanee Writers\u2019 Conference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ramona has taught and lectured at the University of California, Irvine, the Bread Loaf Writers\u2019 Conference, Pitzer College and the University of California, Santa Barbara and served as a mentor for the PEN Center USA Emerging Voices program.
