In keeping with the theme of the Conference, \u201cArrivals and Departures in U.S. Multi-Ethnic Literatures\u201d, they welcome papers that analyze Edwidge Danticat\u2019s work (activist, fiction, film, non-fiction) in relationship to immigration arrivals and departures, including presentations that seek to address, but are not limited to: citizenship rulings, detention, mobility, and transportation. The Edwidge Danticat Society invites proposals for 15-minute presentations. Possible topics include:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Activism and Border of Lights<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Dominican Republic Citizenship Ruling and Denationalization of Haitians<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">U.S. detention policies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Exile and the film\u00a0<em>Stones in the Sun.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">By\u00a0<strong>February 2, 2015<\/strong>, please submit a biography, 300-word abstract (including working title) and any a\/v needs to: Megan Feifer, Louisiana State University, at\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"mailto:mfeife1@lsu.edu\">mfeife1@lsu.edu<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">All presenters, chairs, and moderators must be members of MELUS.
