The competition is for very short fiction pieces of up to a maximum of 100 words. The winner will receive a prize of $20,000, with three runners-up each receiving $2000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">This contest is open to writers from all countries and entries are accepted in four languages: English, Spanish, Arabic and Hebrew. The slogan for the 2014 contest is \u00a0\u2018Mandela: Words and Concord\u2019 but there are no subject or genre restrictions. All stories entered must be original and unpublished.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">With such a generous prize on offer, the contest\u00a0is extremely competitive. The last Museum of Words contest attracted 22,571 entries from writers in 119 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The Cesar Egido Serrano Foundation is based in Spain and is a private, not-for-profit foundation. The foundation\u2019s aim is to\u00a0encourage dialogue between different cultures, ideas, religions and sensibilities.\u00a0<span id=\"more-9464\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Entries for the\u00a0Museum of Words flash fiction contest\u00a0close on\u00a0<strong>23 November 2014<\/strong>. Entries must be submitted via an\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.museodelapalabra.com\/en\/short-tales-contest\/4-edition\/participation-form\">online form<\/a>. The contest rules\u00a0limit the number of entries per writer to two.
