McCabe Poetry Prize will receive $1500 and publication in the Summer 2014 issue. The runner up will receive $200 and publication.<\/strong>\u00a0We invite you to enter.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0 Guidelines<\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">The submission deadline for the prize is May 15th.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">The entry fee is $20 (includes a copy of the Winter 2014 Issue).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">All submissions must be previously unpublished work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">You may submit up to two poems per entry, no longer than 40 lines each.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">$1500 and publication in the Winter 2014 Issue will be awarded to the winner. $200 and publication in the Winter 2014 Issue will be awarded to the second place winner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">All entries will be read by a blind panel of readers who will select fifteen poems as finalists.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">The final judge will review the 15 finalist poems and select the first place and second place poems. Close friends and students (current &amp; former) of this year\u2019s judge, Jeanne Murray Walker, are not eligible to compete, nor are friends or family of the\u00a0<em>Ruminate\u00a0<\/em>staff. Past first place winners of the prize and past judges of the prize are also not eligible to compete.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">All submissions must be submitted via our online submission form below. We will not accept mail or email submissions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Winner will be announced in the Winter Issue, December 2014, and we will notify everyone of their submission status by mid-July.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">We do accept simultaneous submissions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Please remove your name, bio, and any contact info from the file that you submit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">We highly recommend reading a copy of the magazine to better understand the type of poetry we are looking for.
