The competition is open to writers from all regions. The winner will receive $2000, a reading tour of selected Florida colleges and universities, and the winning manuscript will be published by Anhinga Press.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Submission Guidelines<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Reading fee for each manuscript is $25 for hardcopy entries, $28 for electronic ones.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Electronic submissions are accepted via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/anhinga-robertdanaprizeforpoetry.submittable.com\/submit\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Submittable<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\"><strong>For hardcopy submissions<\/strong>, please enclose a check for the $25 reading fee payable to:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Anhinga Press<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Anhinga Prize for Poetry<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">PO Box 3665<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Tallahassee, FL 32315<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Manuscripts will not be returned. (Please do not use a form of mail delivery which requires a signature.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Manuscripts must be 48-80 pages, excluding front matter. They may be single- or double-spaced.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Do not put your name on your manuscript. Instead, make two title pages &#8212; one with the manuscript title, your name, address, email address, and phone number; and a second title page with only the manuscript title.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Submissions will be accepted from February 15 until May 15 (postmark date).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">We will announce contest results both here on our website and on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Anhinga-Press\/158748290903054\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">our Facebook page<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in late summer\/fall. Poems previously published in journals and anthologies should be accompanied by an acknowledgments page. Authors may submit multiple manuscripts if each one is accompanied by the reading fee. Previously submitted manuscripts and manuscripts under consideration by other publishers are also eligible.
