Submissions accepted January 1 to January 31, 2014<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Each January since 2003,\u00a0The Iowa Review<\/em>\u00a0has invited submissions to The Iowa Review Awards, a writing contest in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Winners receive $1,500; first runners-up receive $750. Winners and runners-up will be published in our December 2014 issue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges for the 2014 Iowa Review Awards will be Robyn Schiff (poetry), Rachel Kushner (fiction), and David Shields (nonfiction).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RULES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Submit up to 25 pages of prose (double-spaced) or 10 pages of poetry (one poem or several, but no more than one poem per page). Work must be previously unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are fine assuming you inform us of acceptance elsewhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges will select winners from a group of finalists chosen by\u00a0Iowa Review<\/em>editors. All manuscripts, whether selected as finalists or not, are considered for publication.<\/span><\/p>\n
