Short Story Collection Contest<\/h1>\n

In 2013 Georgetown Review Press will consider manuscripts for our inaugural Short Story Collection Contest. Submissions are accepted via USPS and also electronically through our\u00a0submission manager.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0The full guidelines are below.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 Entry fee:\u00a0 $25.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Prize:\u00a0 $1500 and publication of the manuscript.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Deadline:\u00a0 September 30, 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 If sending a\u00a0 hard copy, please make check or money order for the entry fee payable to Georgetown College, and mail the manuscript to Georgetown Review Press, Short Story Collection Contest, 400 East College St., Box 227, Georgetown, KY\u00a0 40324.<\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0If submitting electronically, please submit via our\u00a0online submission manager<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Submissions can\u00a0 include any of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

a)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0An unpublished manuscript of short stories.<\/span>
\nb)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0One or more novellas (a novella may comprise a maximum of 120 double-spaced pages).<\/span>
\nc)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0A combination of one or more novellas and short stories.<\/span>
\nd) Novellas are only accepted as part of a larger collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 Manuscripts must be between 150 and 300 typed pages.\u00a0 Manuscript pages must be numbered.<\/span><\/p>\n

8.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Please include a cover letter that includes the manuscript\u2019s title and the author\u2019s mailing address, email address, and telephone number.<\/span><\/p>\n

9.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manuscripts may be under consideration elsewhere, but if a manuscript is accepted for publication, please notify Georgetown Review Press.<\/span><\/p>\n

10.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Writers may submit more than one manuscript at a time as long as one manuscript or a portion of it does not duplicate material submitted in another manuscript.\u00a0 The $25 entry fee must be paid for each manuscript submitted.<\/span><\/p>\n

11.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Prior publication of your manuscript as a whole in any format makes it ineligible.\u00a0 However, it is fine if individual stories have been published electronically or in magazines or chapbooks.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
