Literary Sexts Volume 2

We are now taking submissions for the highly anticipated second volume of Literary Sexts! After close to 1,000 copies of Literary Sexts Volume 1 being sold we know how eager you are for Volume 2 (we are too!)

Literary Sexts is an annual modern day anthology of short love poems with subtle erotic undertones edited by Amanda Oaks & Caitlyn Siehl. Volume 2 is set to be published by Words Dance Publishing & will be available for preorder in time for Valentine’s Day 2015!

Think 140 characters, think 40 words or less.

Poems that you would text to your lover. Poems that you would slip into a back pocket, suitcase, wallet or purse on the sly. Poems that you would write on slips of paper & stick under your crush’s windshield wiper. Poems that you would write on a Post-it note & leave on the bathroom mirror.

GUIDELINES:

– You must be 18 or older.
– Submit 5-10 short poems that harmonize with the theme above.
– Poems must be around 140 characters or 40 words or less.
– We are not looking for third person point of view poems.
– Send all poems in one file.
– Deadline : November 15, 2014.

IN THE COVER LETTER SECTION OF THE SUBMISSION FORM:

– Your name (pseudonyms or pen names are fine)
– Your email address
– Your home or mailing address
– A 50 word or less third person bio. This third person bio will go in the back of the book. You can add your URL at the end, if applicable.

CONTRIBUTOR PAYMENT:

Each accepted contributor will receive one copy of the anthology upon release.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

There are two ways you can submit to this anthology: You can submit for free or pay a small fee to get a 5-7 day response to your submission. All payments made are going to help us pay for the contributor copies! So even if you are not concerned with how long it takes us to respond to your submission, know that you will be supporting this small press & its writers, a feel good act! Every little bit helps, thank you! (If you opt out of payment, it WILL NOT affect how we view or the result of your submission, we’re good people over here & we get it.)
