\u00a0<\/strong>Finalists:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nThe top nine finalists will receive a panel pass ($75 value) to the Festival. Their names will be published on this site.<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Plays must not have been previously produced, published, performed, or patronized in any way, including in a formal staged reading.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Workshopped readings are accepted provided that the audience was limited to participants of that workshop.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Students and faculty of the University of New Orleans FTCA and Creative Writing Workshop are ineligible.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Plays submitted to this contest in previous years that did not win are eligible.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Plays that have won or placed in any other playwriting contest are ineligible.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Simultaneous submissions accepted; please notify the Festival if your play is accepted elsewhere.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Guidelines<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- The playwright\u2019s name should not appear anywhere in the script.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Plays should run no more than one hour in length (one act).<\/span><\/li>\n
- Plays must be typed.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Please do not include professional resumes or biographies with your entry. Entries are judged anonymously; the judges only consider manuscript quality.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Unlimited entries per person.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Play content is NOT limited to Tennessee Williams or New Orleans-related themes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
