In A Sentimental Mood…

yr voice approaches

a timid fawn cautious

about crossing

a previously untrod path…

but what do i know  of deer,

the cold efficiency of cars and

planes  power my traveling

this deer image is just a

sentimental conceit–or is

it a secret wish I have hidden

from myself to taste

some wild unmanufactured 

emotion that my urban

life can only imagine?
